Pets are Collateral Damage in Mortgage Crisis

Here's something I never considered: shelters, realtors, and property managers are noticing that the mortgage crisis is affecting pets as well, with more animals being dropped off at shelters by owners who are say they are moving and can't keep them, and more animals just being abandoned when their owners move. I hope this does not reverse the downward trend in shelter killings.

Thanks to Pet Connection.
