The Secret Behind Zappos Otherworldly Customer Service

This is pretty cool: Zappos thinks that they get the best customer service agents by hiring them, giving them a fully paid 4-week training period, and then offering them $1000 to quit on the theory that people who take the offer don't have the sense of commitment they're looking for. Kind of wacky, but I just ordered my first pair of shoes from 'em and they seem like a great company.
