PA Governor urges reforms of state dog law

The horrific killing of 80 dogs who were - legally - shot to death by puppy mill owners in PA rather than pay for an inspector-ordered veterinary check has shocked the humane world. PA Gov. Ed Rendell is calling on the PA legislature to reform the standards of breeding kennels and change PA's reputation as a haven for puppy mills - and indeed, they've been stalling action on a bill that would do just that that has received broad support from animal welfare groups, HB 2525. If you live in the state of PA, contact your legislator and ask them to act now.
