Excellent news: new Vick book
Jim Gorant, author of the excellent recent Sports Illustrated article on the progress of the dogs saved from Michael Vick, has just signed a book deal to tell their complete story. Seems like the right man for the job and I'm looking forward to it!

I was happy to see that Sports Illustrated kinda knocked themselves for their 1987 cover.
(content on page 2 of article) "Some contend that this hysteria reached its apex with a 1987 Sports Illustrated cover that featured a snarling pit bull below the headline beware of this dog..."
I never thought we would have an African-American President in our life time...so maybe in our life time we will see the end to animal cruelty...one can hope right?
